Wed 18th April 6.30-8.30 What Autism/Aspergers is? -
Looking at the spectrum in detail, how a diagnosis can impact differently on each child, the impact on the family life.
Wed 25th April 6.30-8.30, Understanding Behaviour –
Why behaviour happens, what is maintaining behaviour, how our behaviour can impact on that of our children
Wed 2nd May 6.30-8.30, Socially appropriate Behaviour –
Methods to increase socially appropriate behaviour and methods to decrease challenging or inappropriate behaviour.
Wed 9th May 6.30-8.30, Behaviour Management –
Including how to manage challenging behaviour
The training will take place in Parkhall College, Senior school, Birch Hill Road, Antrim in the library.
Living and Learning Together is a 5 year Big Lottery funded programme assisting communities in the Magherafelt and Antrim area to Enhance and develop skills, to address health and wellbeing issues and to develop social inclusion. We are holding a series of workshops focusing on supporting parents / classroom assistants/ teachers in assisting young people with Autism.
